Emerson and Bennett are heading over to Rapid City for a zone conference and I'm being passed off to another set of missionaries for a day or two.
You know I never thought that I would quite miss college as much as this, we e-mail in a college library and it makes me reminicient of the old Lied Library back in town (while this one is still like 1/30th the size or more) it has 4 rows of books and about 15 computers (Gillette High Quality right there) but anyway, twas an
average week full of some people being cool and some people being completely retarded, we got a new good investigator who was bascially asking me by the end of the lesson "so... you think there could be a prophet today?" *slap in face* ummm..... yeah! yeah there is in fact meet my friend Tommy Monson... so yeah shes good and we got one who used to be good give us a phone message that basically said "thanks for coming all the time, never come again" um... what???
oh well such is the life of a missionary, everyone hates you or thinks too highly of you... there is such a small grey area... tons of people hate you and well you know how that goes and others are like ooooh! Missionaries! here we give you food now! oh we love you so much!
No real snow up here yet, a little bit here and there but nothing of depth, which is good...doesn't mean its not cold, stupid wind likes to randomly increase 10-20 mph in about 30 seconds, its like great... now I'm walking into the wind and its 10 degrees with wind chill... just what I wanted to tract in.
I about puked on Thanksgiving (oooh story time) actually not really story time... I lied (the paranthesis are a lie?) I had originally 4 dinners planned which on its own would have ended in disaster, but we managed to
fandangle it down to 2 dinners which isn't all bad I suppose... after the first dinner (which we had like 3 ppl forcing more food on us) we went to a Hawaiian family where the dad is 6'8" and a very large man, (he deadlifts 650 lbs O.o) and yeah... he served up our plates and it was huge... and after I barely
managed to get that down he handed us all 1/4 of a whole pumpkin pie slice piled about 4 inches high with Cool Whip... I about died.... I almost threw up so many times but after letting each bite settle for a minute or two I barely managed to push another one down and then wanted to throw up again for a minute or two. We
had another guy come later in the meal and served himself up a plate and I almost threw up just watching him eat.
