Monday: Pday, (today) went to do e-mails, room full, went shopping bought stuff
came back doing e-mails
Tuesday: (last week's) District meeting in the morning, saw Shila a good
investigator, but her family thinks shes nuts for believing in Jesus and Joseph,
ran around with pamphlettes ate at the Dobsons (I dont remember what probably
Lasagna) went to see Cridels for first time (for me) very awkward family, very
quiet and therefore harder to teach.
Wednesday: studied all morning comp studied Spanish so I just overread the
Bible, had an orange for lunch cause I was dumb and bought bread and nothing to
go on it, so also had a slice of bread (dont get me wrong, its good bread) saw
Kirie (oh boy) she was a good progressing investigator, however she's lesbian
and not about to change that, saw the Lazurus family, parents are both inactive,
but want to go to the temple for the first time. Saw Don, Marie, and Doug all of
which smoked multiple cigarettes while we were there and drank beer, I think I
still smell like smoke after that almost a week later. Went to see Kat an
investigator w/ a baptism date that were going to have to push back because
saturday she had 2 ciggarettes had dinner at Kat's (Enchaladas, wow its not
lazagna) then we saw Scott Boydkin, who to this day I really dont remember for
some reason.
Thursday: Planned for the next week in the morning (after study) where we talked
about our investigators and what they need and stuff. Had lunch (same as
yesterday) then went out to deliver pamphlettes for 5 and a half hours... I
never want to see another pamphlette, we had dinner at the Wettons (fajitas)
they live forever and a day out of town, we split up into two teaching groups
with a member and ran around to peoples houses, me and Bennett went to see Denny
Tester, a hilarious family with all sorts of humor and jokes to go around, and
we went to see Tom a curious guy, not always sure what his hangups are about the
church I think he thinks the Book of Mormon is just a copy of the bible.
Friday: Studied, went to a meeting, worked at the Soup Kitchen for a couple
hours making grilled cheese and turkey samwiches and a really good salad and
other random stuffs. Went to see Crowell, a very... how do I put it Opinionated
person who is definitly not afraid to tell you. he would rather you kick in his
teeth then have to go to a mormon church with all those happy smiley people and
their screaming children even though he is mormon. more pamphlettes more splits,
saw the Shermans and the Freemans both of which I can't think of atm.
Saturday: Had breakfast with the Stake President, more studying and spanish
studying, Went out with Kat again to a Chinese buffet and of course ate too
much, pamphlettes, went to see Tanya and Wyona a mother and daughter that live
together with the daughters twin 1 year olds who really just don't have the
drive to do what we ask, they care their just a little too lazy. Went to a
Samoan family named the Taos to have Beef and Rice (this is another one of those
too much food days) then went to see the Cridels again and had a decent lesson.
Sunday: Gave a talk in the College Branch about the importance of Modern day
prophets and how they testify of christ and the book of mormon, and got asked to
give another talk next sunday, was also asked to give a spiritual thought in the
night branch and was asked to act in the Gospel Doctrine class. We also went to
see Shila's family again and watched Joseph Smith: The Prophet of the
Restoration with them. We also saw Don for the last time, he's moving to
Chicago, he was a really good investigator who thought the church made perfect
sence, but wasn't quite ready to be baptised. We saw somone who was being
teached before named Tony, who bascially, nicely said "I'm not interested" but
we talked with him anyway.
Lots of people, yes
