Yeah, I know, interesting subject line, but it is now the topic of discussion, Alright, so we have this Foster kid staying with one of our recent converts, and he really really wants to be baptized, only a handful of things stand in his way... number 1, he's slightly mentally handicapped, he's 16 years old and has the education of a 3rd grader, and you can kind of sometimes tell when your talking to him that he's not quite understanding everything that your saying, which leads to problem 2, he doesn't understand what were saying, he learned
that baptism was a cleansing of our sins via Foulger and he got really excited about that and now will only really talk about baptism which is actually working as a distraction toward trying to teach him gospel principles (who knew) the third problem is that he is a foster child, not up for adoption, since they don't know where his family is (because of all the wars in the Sierra Lion region) theres no way to contact them to OK the baptism, so we have to work with his representative which won't be in town until the 29th and I really hope that she is alright with it, because w/out her say so there will be no baptism. And the fourth reason is what the subject is about his family were practicing Muslims back in Newtown in Africa, and I know there was something going out a little while ago about not being aloud to baptize Muslims, that I don't fully understand. I've heard that if he ever tried to go back, being baptized to a Christian religion he wouldn't be accepted and probably killed for it, I've also heard someone tell me that if you are baptized to a Christian religion over here they will kill your family over there... I was hoping you guys might know more about that and maybe can shed a little light on my problem... anyway thats our friend Mohammed all luck to him.
